**Job Summary**

The Technical Director, Salesforce.com will be responsible for leading full lifecycle Salesforce.com engineering efforts across various business units. This role will work closely with other technical engineers, collaborating with technology and business stakeholders to develop, support, and enhance our Salesforce instance. Candidates will work collaboratively with product owners to drive design choices and recommend, develop and implement technical solutions as well as providing hands-on technical expertise to other development teams. The successful candidate will provide technical thought leadership for the Salesforce platform, and collaborate across teams to solve complex design issues, avoid technical debt, drive agile practices, and implement architecture best practices. The position will be responsible for leading and providing developer support and technical direction to a matrixed team of solution architects/technical leads, developers and administrators. This role will also be responsible for cataloguing, developing, coordinating, communicating, maintaining, and enforcing overall enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to adequately perform the organization's business and technology activities. In this role, the person will help to drive a major transformation that will have significant impact on the company, its employees, and its customers.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

Sets, defines architectural practices and guidelines for the Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Conga CPQ and CLM, Einstein, Pardot, etc

Provide vision and ensures delivery of technical designs that meet project requirements, while maintaining consistency with the Enterprise Architecture guidelines

Design and scope work in Agile sprints and time boxed releases

Optimize architecture and tooling aligned to rapid and iterative Agile delivery

Deploy leading continuous integration, continuous deployment and automated testing tools to reduce time to market and improve quality

Ensure execution of best practices to perform operational support, enhancements, bug fixes as needed to the Salesforce.com platform

Oversees configuration and customization of the Salesforce.com platform

Oversees efforts to develop and execute testing, training and documentation

Collaborates with product owners as a Salesforce expert, present options, and helps build full solutions to meet business needs

Has an expert understanding of Salesforce.com standard applications, web application development, Salesforce integration patterns, and tools such as the Salesforce APIs, Apex, Lightning and the AppExchange that are used to extend the standard product sets

Integration knowledge with SAP is desired

Knowledge in the Analytics space example Microsoft Azure tool set, Power BI

Leads technical discovery sessions, writes technical architecture documents, and leads integration design

Has a solid business understanding and is able to translate business process flows into technical use cases

Oversee technical solution reviews and provide recommendations to improve adoption and usage

Provide strategic vision, identify and mitigate technical risks across the architecture

Works with Data Governance Org to incorporate data standards, data mastering and management processes, and other data related requirements into architecture planning and solution design

Sets product vision and lead road mapping activities

Documents design decisions, process and data flows for the development team

Provides strategic leadership and provides mentorship/advisement to SFDC Platform team Developers, Admins, and Business Analysts

Ensure adherence to CRL standards and compliance with regulatory bodies are maintained (FDA, ISO, PCI, SOX, HIPPA, US, EU)

Provide direct or indirect supervision, leadership, technical direction, and mentorship to a highly technical matrixed team responsible for various aspects of architecture. Manage the team to ensure continuously high customer satisfaction, productivity, effectiveness, and achievement of overall vision, strategy and goals.

Turn business strategy into systems design by developing an architecture framework that enables adaptability, scalability, availability, and re-use

Identify and drives opportunities to simplify and leverage the existing tools/assets and resources across organization

Identify emerging technologies to help drive solutions that increase business value

Architectural leadership in the interdependencies of programs and projects and related technical issue resolution

Develops and fosters a culture of technical excellence and innovation across the business units

**Job Qualifications**

Education: Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

Experience: 6+ years experience as a Salesforce Technical Architect.

8+ years of experience working with the Salesforce Platform.

Proven history of showing progression in roles to include responsibility for leadership, strategy, integration management and application development

Experience managing and leading technical teams in a large, complex and matrixed environment

Certifications: Salesforce Application/Developer, and Architect certifications preferred

Other: Demonstrable experience with multiple Salesforce Sales, Service Cloud and CPQ implementations

Conga CPQ & CLM experience preferred

Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and development

Experience and expertise in core web technologies including HTML5, Javascript including Lightning Web Components

Practical hands-on software engineering skills with Force.com Platform (Lightning Web Components, Flow Builder, Apex, SOQL, Unit Testing, SFDX CLI)

Experience with web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.)

Experience with test automation and continuous integration technologies, the Salesforce.com deployment process, and GIT repositories

Be able to conceptualize and develop impartial alternative solution approaches, articulating the benefits and tradeoffs of each.

Experience building Technology roadmaps

Experience working in an Agile/ product and platform centric operating model

**Compensation Data**

The pay range for this position is 150,000-200,000. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location
