Senior Salesforce Commerce Engineer

As a Senior Salesforce Commerce Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our Salesforce Commerce Cloud solutions. You will be responsible for leveraging your technical expertise to build scalable and high-performance e-commerce applications, ensuring a seamless and personalized online shopping experience for our customers.

This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Salesforce Commerce Cloud Development:

Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable e-commerce solutions on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform.

Customize and extend the functionality of Salesforce Commerce Cloud to meet specific business requirements.

Integration and Customization:

Integrate third-party systems, services, and APIs to improve the overall e-commerce ecosystem.

Implement customizations to optimize and personalize the user experience.

Technical Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and expertise.

Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Performance Optimization:

Conduct performance analysis and optimization of e-commerce applications to ensure efficient speed and responsiveness.

Implement best practices for coding, deployment, and scalability.

Quality Assurance:

Develop and implement testing strategies, including unit testing and end-to-end testing, to ensure the reliability and quality of the e-commerce platform.

Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, code documentation, and configuration guides.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other collaborators to ensure a cohesive and user-friendly online shopping experience.

Work closely with the support team to address and resolve any issues promptly.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer certification.

Demonstrable experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud development, including SiteGenesis, ISML, and Pipelines.

Strong proficiency in server-side and client-side scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript).

Experience with e-commerce integrations, including payment gateways, shipping providers, and third-party APIs.

Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Developer.

Previous experience in leading or mentoring development teams.

Familiarity with mobile commerce and progressive web app development.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$6,805.95 - $11,921.25

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
