Position Description:
Senior Salesforce PM has full responsibility to manage and oversee all aspects of the most complex Salesforce projects to deliver a Salesforce product, service or system. This includes but is not limited to managing both external and internal Salesforce project teams, and interacting with department heads, agency secretaries at the user agency, State control agencies, and individuals of similar status and capacity in the private sector.
The Senior Salesforce PM determines appropriate Salesforce products or services with clients or customers to define project scope, requirements and deliverables; develops, modifies or provides input to project plans; implements project plans to meet objectives; coordinates and integrates project activities; manages, leads or administers project resources; monitors project activities and resources to mitigate risk; implements or maintains quality assurance processes; makes improvements, solves problems or takes corrective action when problems arise; gives presentations or briefings on all aspects of the project; participates in phase, milestone and final project reviews; identifies project documentation requirements or procedures; and develops and implements project schedules and release plans. The Senior Salesforce PM; designs or conducts analytical studies, feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses or other research; evaluates, monitors or ensures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standards or procedures; identifies standards or requirements for change management; participates in change control (for example, reviewing change requests); implements information systems security plans and procedures; and ensures appropriate product-related training and documentation are developed and made available to customers.

Skills Preferred
We're seeking support to set-up salesforce primarily as a CRM and project management tool for a small and nimble team working with philanthropy to support cross-sector collaborations with the County of Los Angeles.
This will be our team's first experience with a CRM, and we seek a consultant with patience and an ability to translate to a non-tech audience
Experience Required
This classification requires a minimum of seven (7) years of broad, extensive and increasingly responsible experience applying Salesforce PM principles, methods, techniques, and tools.
At least four (4) years of that experience must have been as a senior Salesforce PM of one or more large or complex IT project.
Experience Preferred
While the Center for Strategic Partnerships is a part of the County of Los Angeles, our role is to act a bit like a small non-profit, we prefer consultants who have experience working with the non-profit sector to support their fundraising.
Education Required
This classification requires the possession of (a) a bachelor's degree, and
A valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), which will be verified during the RFO process.
Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
The PMP certification is required and may not be substituted with additional experience.
Additional Information:
. This role is a project-based role and vendors will need to communicate to candidates that this role will be completed over an allotted number of hours.
The hours that will be allocated for this role is 32 hours. The Center for Strategic Partnerships will be flexible on the hours per week for this project. The end date is contingent upon completion of the project.
