Salesforce AI Research is at the forefront of innovation, maximizing ground breaking artificial intelligence technologies to revolutionize the Salesforce experience for our customers. We are seeking a dynamic and transformational Product Manager to join our team and own the roadmap for building AI solutions to improve operational efficiency across Salesforce. This necessitates a deep understanding of intricate infrastructural and business requirements to clearly outline what the researchers should build. This role demands a dynamic professional who can navigate the intersection of AI research and product management, transforming theoretical concepts into real-world solutions that empower users and drive the success of Salesforce AI Research.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for building large language models optimized for enhancing trusted experiences for our customers.
  • Leading cross-functional teams of researchers, engineers and designers to bring these models from conception to successful implementation.
  • Understanding customer needs, struggles, and requirements to develop AI products that address their specific challenges.
  • Proficiency in handling and analyzing data, ensuring the availability of high-quality data for training and testing AI models.
  • Effective communication skills to convey sophisticated technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Staying on top of industry trends, standard processes, and advancements in AI to continuously enhance the capabilities of our AI models.
  • Working in tandem with user experience and ethics teams to ensure a seamless, intuitive and trusted experience integrated into existing workflows.
  • Supervising and analyzing the performance and impact of the models in development and production, iterating and refining them based on real-world usage and feedback.
  • Familiarity with AI based prediction/remediation systems that use time-series and log analysis would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce platform and its various products, such as Apex, Mulesoft, Tableau, Flow and LWC (Lightning Web Components) would be a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Data Focused - someone who loves numbers and has a passion for deep thinking and solving exciting problems
  • Ownership DNA - proven track record to excite and manage a cross-functional engineering team
  • Ability to gather and transform business requirements and market needs into a successful product strategy
  • 2-4 years of product management or equivalent experience Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to deliver against goals
  • Experience in development processes for complex metadata-driven platforms Salesforce microservice and off-core development pattern experience
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce products and APIs
  • Experience with agile development methodologies like Scrum
  • Experience delivering highly scalable products (think 100,000s customers)

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $188,200 to $305,600.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
