Job Description

As the Salesforce Solutions Architect, you will be part of a dynamic, global team, building and supporting technical infrastructure and services to meet the business needs of our internal and external customers. Your primary focus would be leading projects in conjunction with the Datasite Product & Engineering team through the requirements definition and solution design phase. Ensure the overall solution design meets business requirements, fulfills user stories, and works with a cross functional team through the build, test, and deployment phases. The candidate must demonstrate dynamic leadership in the full life cycle of the software development environment.

Through user story definition, logical data model design, functional system design, and best-practice methodologies, you will lead the detailed design of Salesforce and related technology projects from inception through production support. You will provide industry standards as a trusted advisor to key business and technology partners and identify areas of product growth. You should have a passion for building scalable applications while minimizing technical debt. Finding ways to multiply the output of the team with new tools and techniques.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements to technical requirements, write user stories, and provide detailed system and functional designs.
  • Designing and documenting systems data model, processes, and APIs.
  • Define the system architecture landscape, identify gaps between current and desired end-states, and deliver a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes.
  • Document business processes and wireframe system designs using process flow diagram tools, UML, sequence diagrams, etc. as well as make recommendations for future state improved processes and system designs.
  • Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes.
  • Lead enterprise-level projects using both waterfall and agile software development methodologies throughout the whole life cycle.
  • Leverage agile work management practices, including sprint planning and retrospectives to track critical results.
  • Partner with product owners for backlog grooming and work prioritization.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and lead laterally and upwards.

  • Responsible for designing and delivering system databases, methods, processes, and infrastructure interfaces in support of the key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with key global stakeholders to ensure the systems and plans are aligned with the business goals, objectives, and strategies.
  • Measure program effectiveness and business results with critical dashboards and content management systems.
  • Manage multiple projects efficiently and with timely execution.

Experience and Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years as SF Solutions Architect experience.
  • 10+ years relevant architectural experience; preferred to have developer expertise as well.
  • Bachelors degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Equivalent Experience.
  • Experience across Sales Cloud, Service, Cloud, Revenue Cloud, and Marketing Cloud along with MuleSoft.
  • Demonstrated collaboration and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of campaign to cash business processes.
  • Ability to define data, process workflows, and lead cross functional and discipline discussions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Salesforce CPQ administrator.
  • Some quality training - Lean Sigma, CAP training, etc.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and business objectives.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems, basic understanding of programming logic and constructs, specifically in Salesforce, and their use in software development.
  • Experience with single-org deployments and multi-org consolidations.
  • Expertise in defining, implementing, and continual refinement of business processes.
  • Experience in communicating with developers, other technical teams, and product management to understand requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
  • History of leading large complex projects and programs across all areas of IT to include, Applications, Infrastructure and Operations, and Information Security.
  • Ability to strategize and solve business problems by recommending and designing a combination of process and automation solutions.
  • Experience managing multiple work streams and multiple initiatives while controlling risks.
  • Experience with agile development or scrum project management methodologies.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles, key design patterns and best practices.
  • Strategic thinker that can see the big picture, innovate, and adapt to constant change.
  • Ability to work under pressure, highly adaptable, and well organized.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills with audiences across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized with the ability to establish and manage priorities in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certification is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of data management concepts and architecture.

Salary range - $140-$180k
