As a Solutions Architect you will lead the delivery of Salesforce implementation projects through thoughtful assessment of client requirements and translate those needs into technical solutions. This role focuses on design, data structure, integrations, UI/UX and system testing to support client business processes. As the lead you will work with Idealist Consulting project teams consisting of project managers, Salesforce admins, and specialists.

How You'll Contribute

    • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and product ecosystem
    • Assist sales and services in preparing estimates for implementation, providing detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions as needed
    • Provide Solution Architecture and project delivery leadership to ensure that solution vision from the sales cycle continues through successful delivery
    • Translate technical concepts and patterns into business benefits for management and executives and sustain client relationships developed in the sales cycle through the delivery lifecycle
    • Lead discovery process with clients using story mapping methodology to determine ERD, need for code, and integrations
    • Lead or guide project team on user story creation, sprint planning, and User Acceptance Testing
    • Translate business requirements or technical specs into technical requirements to be implemented by a Salesforce consultants or development teams.
    • Articulate and document the benefits and risks to a solution's feasibility and functionality.
    • Work within a modified Agile development framework, including sprint kickoff, backlog grooming, sprint standup meetings, and sprint demos to ensure that all stakeholders - developers, QA, integration teams, and business partners - are on the same page.
    • Provide hands-on support and guidance to Business Analysts and developers to ensure solution development is aligned to the architecture definition
    • Perform unit, functional, and integration testing as needed on development efforts to confirm meeting the business requirements; and assist QA and UAT teams in QA and user acceptance testing.
    • Follow and understand new Salesforce product and technical capabilities resulting from product releases and acquisitions
    • Identify and solve implementation improvement including processes, policies, unmanaged packages, code to support improved app performance
    • Demonstrate thought leadership and contribute content including blogs, capabilities content, customer stories, and sessions
    • Contribute to monthly consultant meetings, coach and mentor junior technical and functional team members and collaborate with other Solutions Architects and development staff to resolve technical challenges

What You Bring to the Table

    • Minimum 3 years Salesforce certified Advanced Administrator or Platform Developer
    • Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Analyst, Change Management, Nonprofit or Fundraising Consultant or equivalent experience
    • Extensive experience with Enterprise technology implementations
    • Understanding of key concepts that support user focused design and design thinking
    • Proven ability to design and optimize business processes and integrate business processes across disparate systems
    • Excellent client-facing written and oral communications skills
    • Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire
    • Previous experience collecting and working from user stories preferred
    • Minimum 1 year experience using story mapping methodology to capture business requirements
    • Minimum 3 years leading CRM implementation project teams
    • Minimum 3 years experience utilizing Agile and Waterfall project management methodology
    • Experience with data migrations from third party solutions to Salesforce
    • Desire to learn new things and take on challenges
