job summary
The SDSED works in a multidisciplinary environment, and in a collaborative fashion, on experience design activities throughout the software development lifecycle, often with numerous design initiatives occurring concurrently.
Responsibilities
-
This individual contributes to the design of interactive user experiences and interfaces across Salesforce and other commercial products as needed.

Simplifies and unifies complex information into intuitive interactions, flows, charts, graphs, and other forms of visual representation for Salesforce utilizing the Lightning Design System
-
Experienced in customer-centered design, generating workflows & user journeys, and creating wireframes and high-fidelity designs
-
Has extensive knowledge of Salesforce platform and expert level understanding of the Salesforce Lightning Design System
-
Expert level experience designing Salesforce Lightning interfaces
-
Works directly with developers to turn wireframes and other visualizations into production ready prototypes based on Lightning components and patterns, and if needed, our design system language
-
Performs reviews of developed pages to ensure adherence to standards
-
Facilitates feedback reviews of prototypes to validate design concepts with end users
-
Occasionally run and facilitate workshops with stakeholders and customers that may require travel
Qualifications
-
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or similar required
-
Salesforce UXD Certification preferred
-
Skilled practitioner with expertise in the design, production and presentation of Salesforce user interface designs that support the needs of the customer
-
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
-
Proven ability to effectively communicate abstract concepts to audiences that are not skilled in a UX discipline
-
Demonstrated experience with human-centered design patterns and methodologies, including but not limited to Salesforce domain
-
Extensive knowledge with Agile software methodologies.
-
Comfort with utilizing one or more recognized Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, kanban, etc.) or toolsets (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
-
Comfort with ambiguity, complexity, and passion for challenges
-
Detail-oriented self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team
-
Working knowledge of design tools such as Axure, Figma and Adobe CS
-
Portfolio to show examples of Salesforce design work and other UX design work using Axure RP
Nice to Haves

Experience in Insurance, FinTech or Financial Services, as a User Experience Designer, leading large, enterprise-wide work efforts across a multi-disciplinary team

Basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
