Description

As a Salesforce Devops Engineer 2, will have hands-on experience with Copado, a Salesforce release management platform, and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing releases while maintaining the integrity of our Salesforce environment. Must be proficient in resolving code conflicts and merge issues, and be capable of directing a team of developers and Admins in resolving deployment errors. Experience with Git version control is also essential. The candidate should have a proven track record of implementing CI/CD on multiple projects and a deep understanding of release management best practices.

This is a hands-on role that requires you to have a solid understanding of the Salesforce platform, its best practices, and architecture with extensive experience working with Salesforce platform tools.

Essential Functions:

  • Model, promote, and reinforce the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, testing, and business units, to plan and schedule Salesforce releases
  • Create and maintain release calendars, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project timelines
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and establish release management procedures
  • Coordinate release activities, including deployment, validation, and post-release monitoring
  • Migrate changes from development to test to production environment(s) using CI technologies such as ADO, COPADO
  • Direct the team of developers and administrators in identifying and resolving deployment errors, ensuring successful and error-free deployments
  • Maintain comprehensive release documentation, including release notes, version control, and change logs
  • Influence and motivate team members to use HOLT's Values-Based Leadership (VBL) tools ensuring Legendary Customer Service with all services they deliver
  • Work safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts into simplified solutions in a straightforward and understandable manner
  • Utilize Copado to manage the end-to-end release process, from development through testing to production deployment
  • Configure and maintain release pipelines, automation, and workflows within Copado to streamline release activities
  • Oversee testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and performance testing, to ensure the quality of releases
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools within Copado
  • Expertly manage code conflicts and merge issues, facilitating collaboration among development teams to ensure seamless integration of code changes
  • Desire to stay up to date on the latest Salesforce.com releases, technologies, applications, and integrations
  • A working understanding of both waterfall and scrum frameworks and an ability to transition and adapt seamlessly between the two
  • Ability to focus on business value results, rather than solutions
  • Ability to manage the scope change process and issue identification/resolution
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced, rapid iteration environment while balancing multiple priorities

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field and/or equivalent work experience required
  • At least 5 years experience as a Devops Engineer is required and at least 4 years experience with Salesforce required
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce CRM platforms required
  • Salesforce Products (Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, CPQ, FSL, Community Cloud) required
  • Experience working with ETL tools such as Informatica and MuleSoft preferred
  • Salesforce Certifications required for Salesforce Administrator
    • Salesforce Developer I

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Travel:

  • 10% to 15% with occasional overnight stay
