Writes custom code using Eclipse IDE tool.
Implements DevOps CI/CD framework and migrates code using ANT migration tool or Salesforce change sets.
Integrate SalesForce Products with Microsoft Azure cloud using REST and SOAP services.
Does frequent Data migration using Apex Data loader, and Import Wizard tools.
Utilizes Microsoft Power BI for Reporting and data analysis.
Utilizes JIRA tool for Software life cycle development.
Utilizes Workbench for SalesForce Object Query Language (SOQL) queries.
The following list shows the tools that candidates will need to use as part of their day-to-day activities:
SalesForce Sales cloud, Marketing Cloud, Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ), Billing, Communities, and Salesforce Lightning, Zuora CPQ.
SalesForce App exchange products and SalesForce connected Apps, SSO, SAML, Oauth2.0, Users, Roles, Profiles, Security, Process Builders, Approval Process, Workflows, Reports, and Dashboards.
Query Languages- SOQL, SQL
Web Services: SOAP and REST.
In his/her role as a Sr. SalesForce Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for working on the Telematics project. The following list comprises the responsibilies involved in this position:
Designs and writes complex code to create production level applications and solutions for the SalesForce platform using standard SalesForce IDEs, Visualforce and Apex languages.
Analyzes, writes and converts user stories into detailed work requirements, plans and writes code to implement requirements in connection with sponsor and stakeholder vision.
Designs and builds custom apps using declarative functionality and code. Prepares data files and uploads the data into SalesForce using Apex Data Loader and third-party tools.
Evaluates existing and future SalesForce release features for business benefit and prescribes rollout plans.
Integrates SalesForce with Microsoft Azure cloud using REST and SOAP services
Performs code migration from development Sandbox to test sandboxes and production environment, using Change sets and ANT migration tool.
Performs Unit testing to ensure quality of the deliverables.
Customer Project is Customer's vehicle connectivity service to allow their customers or fleet managers to access operational information on Customer Products. A Portal and Mobile App is the main point of entry for Customers or Fleet Managers to access the data from Customer vehicles.
Customer Project is divided into five Scrum Teams focused on different services:
Analytics Services (Fuel Efficiency and Safety)
Each of these self-sufficient teams is responsible for their Front-End, Data Access APIs, IoT Data Streaming, Analytics Engines and in some cases the On-Board components.
All Scrum Teams are working under a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) development model, that includes members from Business, IT and Engineering working in 2-week Sprints. Every 6 Sprint we conduct Program Increments Workshops to align dependencies between all teams and funnel new work into the Development Teams.
Customer Project operates entirely on Microsoft's Azure Cloud. It relies on a Hadoop Cluster running Storm and H-Base for data Streaming and Persistence. The Portal was developed initially in Angular GS and is in the process of being migrated to React. Security and Access Management is reliant on Azure A/D B2C with customers to self-provisioning capabilities through the Portal itself.
The Environment is a 4 tier stack consisting of a Portal (Azure Web App), API Layer (Azure Web App/Rest), Data Access Layer (Java Jetty/Rest) and a Data layer on HBase. This RFP is centered on the first two layers of the Stack (see diagram below). Some embedded experience on H-Base and Non-SQL Data access is not required but is beneficial to allow better team integration and alignment.
