Salesforce Developer

The Opportunity

As a Salesforce Developer, you will work closely with other developers, product owners, test engineers, and architects to ensure the timely and effective delivery of Salesforce requirements in a variety of industry contexts. The Salesforce Developer works in all aspects of the Salesforce Development Life cycle, including configuration, customization and implementation of applications and 3rd party integrations. You'll also serve as an advisor to our clients and provide consultative guidance regarding how they might adopt new technologies or add new features to support the mission. We're looking for someone like you to champion the technology that changes the face of healthcare.

In this role, you'll have an opportunity to join our robust training program, Salesforce Academy (SFA), to build upon these skills and apply them to client projects. SFA provides access to online training materials, daily instructor-led sessions, Salesforce-specific projects, exam preparation and more. After completing SFA, you'll help a team of experts develop and maintain dynamic Salesforce applications. You'll use programming and scripting languages, including Apex, to assist the team as they continuously enhance and maintain the application, troubleshoot any issues that arise operationally, and upgrade the system to meet security requirements. Most importantly, you'll learn how we advise our government clients on the best ways to improve and modernize the existing systems. You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with Apex, Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, HTML, or CSS

  • Experience with committing code to Git repositories

  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle and Agile or Scrum methodology

  • Knowledge of the Salesforce platform, Lightning components, Visualforce pages, or Salesforce APIs

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or 3+ years of experience with IT in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with supporting the federal government, VA, or Healthcare IT

  • Experience working on a project using Agile or Scrum methodology

  • Experience with Apex code, Lightning components, Visualforce pages, or Salesforce APIs

  • Experience with managing multiple priorities and tasks as delegated

  • Experience with working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Knowledge of MVC architecture and Object-Oriented Programming

  • Ability to demonstrate punctuality and preparedness for work, including a strong work ethic

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification, Platform App Builder Certification, or Platform Developer I Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $49,800.00 to $102,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
