Salesforce. com Business Analyst/Administrator

The Salesforce Business Analyst/Administrator will lead the ongoing development of our salesforce. com deployment. This role is part project manager, part administrator and part Salesforce analyst. The successful candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using the platform. The administrator will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify develop and deploy new business processes. The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the executing on the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance and improvement of our Salesforce platform.


  • Work independently with members of the user community to gather requirements, define, document, and solution requirements, then drive the configuration and development of the solution,
  • Responsible for the overall configuration, design, functionality and end-user support of the platform with 2,000+ users,
  • Configure and maintain custom objects, record types, fields, page layouts, formulas, data validation rules, triggers, custom workflows, approval processes, installed packages, etc. within,
  • Maintain user roles and profiles, security settings, access settings, etc. (User Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Sharing Rules and Security),
  • Manage backlog estimation, requirement, and impact analysis,
  • Release Planning based on effort/schedule estimation and resource availability,
  • Implement change control and best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc.,
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for seasonal Salesforce releases,
  • System Monitoring, Error Logs, Support and maintenance,
  • Manage data loads, feeds and other integrations,
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new configuration and development requests with the team,
  • Document, document, document,
  • Work with Salesforce product owner to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities,
  • Manage sandbox environments,
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with the business to ensure that solutions meet the defined product requirements
  • Managing defects in both UAT and Production environments in a timely and professional manner,
  • Write scripts for UAT testing, ensuring the functionality built is thoroughly tested,
  • Assist in training of new users, and grow the skill set across the organization,
  • Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors and the application development teams,
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs

Experience Required:

Minimum six (6) years of experience as a administrator in Sales Cloud Admin ADM201 certification

A documented history of integrations, including AppExchange packages

Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption

Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity

Strong understanding of best practices and functionality

Strong data management abilities

A documented history of successfully driving complex projects to completion

A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements

Experience Preferred:

Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification Advanced Admin (ADM211) certification

Salesforce Pardot

Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Developer certifications

Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment
