Shockwave Medical, Inc. is a pioneer in the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Shockwave Medical aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.

Position Overview The Functional Architect, Salesforce Applications plays a strategic role in the design, development, and optimization of Salesforce solutions within a medical device company. This position is responsible for aligning Salesforce initiatives with business goals, ensuring data security, and optimizing processes in a highly regulated environment. Essential Job Functions

  • Solution Design: Lead the design and architecture of Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into Salesforce solutions that meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring the successful implementation of Salesforce solutions.
  • Customization and Configuration: Customize Salesforce applications, including creating custom objects, fields, workflows, and processes to meet specific business and regulatory needs.
  • Integration: Design and oversee the integration of Salesforce with other systems, both internal and external, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Data Management: Implement data management strategies, including data cleansing, migration, and quality assurance, with a focus on maintaining data security and regulatory compliance.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure Salesforce solutions adhere to security best practices, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and quality management system requirements (e.g., ISO 13485).
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of Salesforce applications, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, while maintaining compliance with quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of Salesforce configurations, customizations, and processes, in alignment with quality and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Typically, 10+ years of experience in Salesforce development and architecture roles, with a focus on quality and regulatory compliance. Previous management experience preferred.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Certified Application Architect, or Certified System Architect.
  • Extensive experience in Salesforce development and architecture.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, and other relevant technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of medical device industry regulations is highly desirable.

Market Range: $116,000 - $170,000
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
