We strive to improve efficiency and operational effectiveness through technology, innovation and inspiration.This position will be based in Pleasanton, California.About the RoleAbout the Role: You will be part of a core Salesforce Platform team that is responsible for building and maintaining the Salesforce platform and related technologies for various Business functions. The focus of this role will be on Release, Environments management and Salesforce admin functions.Responsibility:Release Engineering:Own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating, and the management of the Salesforce platform releases across multiple development teams.Prior experience working with Salesforce build tools (e.g. Salesforce DX, Jenkins, Git, etc.).Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.Measure and monitor progress of release process to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations.Create sprint release reports.Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams in different locations.Lead, plan, and coordinate all release activities including release readiness reviews, and deployment go-lives.Produce DeploymentPlaybooks, and Implementation Plans while continually working towards making improvements in the release process.Work with developers and admins to understand the impacts of branches and code merges.Communicate release details and schedules to the stakeholders as required.Maintains the release schedule for all Salesforce project teams for alignment.Salesforce Administrator:Assess technical requirements of requests and scope for projects and communicate results to the business clients, project teams, and IT counterparts.Assist application users by tracking, analyzing, and solving user problems based on an understanding of business process workflow within the application.Provides support to users for the technical aspects of application utilities and functions, such as reporting.Identify opportunities for new or improved systems and applications to support the business.Follow Internal Audit policies and procedures and provide information as needed.About YouDegree in Computer Science or comparable technical degreeMinimum of 4 years of experience working on the Salesforce platform as an Admin and Release EngineerExperience in implementing Salesforce configuration changes and deployments, managing Production and Sandbox environmentsExperience in CI/CD tools and Release Management processesExperience in Engineering tools such as Git, JIRA and ConfluenceDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.Excellent written, and verbal communication and presentation skills.Salesforce certified AdministratorAs a federal contractor, Workday is requiring all new hires to verify that they are fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 within 72 hours of beginning employment with Workday, consistent with applicable law. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
