Our Senior Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the overall operations of the Salesforce platform. Provides technical direction on platform configuration and maintenance. Troubleshoots and resolves production issues and leads root cause analysis to identify and implement long-term solutions. Partners with both business and technical teams to prototype and deliver application solutions with respect to value, quality, information security and end-user experience. Works in conjunction with our architects and technical leads to ensure that Salesforce based projects are implemented according to best practices.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work across multiple business functions to identify, document, and implement streamlined business processes. Optimize business efficiency related to business users processing transactions in Salesforce.com
  • Champion data governance and coach users to drive consistent and proper handling of data across the business. Enforce data governance where possible using system security
  • Perform mass imports and exports of data as needed to facilitate acquisition integration, analytical reporting needs and other business use cases
  • Gather user enhancement requests and implement meaningful enhancements to the system, including but not limited to writing custom code, creating custom reports, objects, workflows, email alerts, templates, etc
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of other related business applications in order to make recommendations for improvements
  • Develop and maintain application integrations to ensure efficient flow of critical business transactions.
  • “Own” the system: look for opportunities to improve efficiency. Drive process changes and support them with system changes
  • Maintain the Enterprise Salesforce Platform and provides production support
  • Plan and execute deployments from multiple projects
  • Ensure best practices are followed for any requested changes to the object model
  • Provide design and oversight of, and configure permissions, permission sets, and profiles
  • Partner with business and technical teams to understand, plan and mitigate impacts of Salesforce releases
  • Participate in backlog review and sprint planning for the administration team, and participate in completing stories and tasks during sprints
  • Organize/lead prototype development, participate in demos & user acceptance reviews
  • Work with technical leads on the creation of design documents and artifacts
  • Ensure procedures and system documentation is maintained for completeness and accuracy

Core Knowledge and Skills
 

  • Deep practical experience administering a globally used Salesforce instance
  • Expertise in all aspects of configuration, with the practical skills to identify when coding/customization is needed and direct those requirements
  • Ability to configure and implement applications from multiple vendors (e.g. AppExchange components)
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills, including the ability to communicate to multiple levels of the organization and with non-technical partners to derive requirements and priorities
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, including the ability to arbitrate and objectively evaluate competing requests across the tenants
  • Ability to define, create, and maintain clear procedures and system documentation
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage time
  • Ability to perform relative estimating and task planning as a part of Scrum delivery activities

    Essential Experience
     

  • Proven experience and proficiency with Salesforce configuration
  • Experience with provisioning, configuring, and managing applications from the Salesforce AppExchange
  • Experience using data management tools and advanced querying capabilities
  • Strong understanding of and experience with data modeling
  • Knowledgeable in setting up and maintaining roles, profiles, sharing settings, validation rules, advanced formulas, workflows, flows, process builder, reports, and dashboards
  • Knowledgeable and familiar working in Lightning Experience
  • Experience working with Salesforce Communities (Community Builder, Community Manager, etc.)
  • Preferred experience working with SSO configuration and OAuth protocol
  • Experience in all phases of a project including working with technical teams as well as the business users
  • Ability to elicit and understand business process and requirements from customers
  • Ability to translate business process and requirements into application functionality
  • Strong record of quality assurance and testing best practices
  • Demonstrated delivery with an agile methodology
  • Experience using work management tools such as JIRA
     
    Preferred Experience
     
  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification
  • Experience with Oracle CPQ Cloud (formerly Big Machines)
  • Experience with ParDot
     
    Education
     
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years hand-on professional experience as a SalesForce.com Admin
