Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintains user roles, profiles, security and access settings including assignment rules and license types
  • Develops customized reports and dashboards
  • Trains new staff on Salesforce function and newly developed features
  • Engages IT for new development of APEX code, Visual Force Pages or for effort to process additional data through our API integration
  • Prioritizes and facilitates appropriate approvals on backlogged requests
  • Configures Salesforce with additional functionality
  • Implements new solutions or enhancements to existing solutions using independent judgement and discretion
  • Expands our use of functionality not currently or only partially deployed on the platform
  • Implements App Exchange solutions to resolve problems or empower team or individual performance and to address needs that arise
  • Directs development of a roadmap for the Salesforce product to improve Business value over time
  • Socializes upcoming Salesforce product releases noting any enhancements of consequence, plans for their implementation including testing the effects on configuration and integrated solutions
  • Manage vendors and Salesforce API partners and ongoing relationships
  • Manages Salesforce notifications like notices of intent to discontinue a service or support ensuring that they are routed appropriately
  • Achieve the goal of removing the need for users to access legacy systems to perform day-to-day work
  • On-site regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.
  • Performs other business tasks or functions as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Preferred, three (3) years’ experience working as a Salesforce Administrator
  • Utilize Microsoft Office toolset, including advanced Excel skills
    • Ex: V Lookup & Power Query
  • Ability to lead and direct others to achieve or exceed organizational objectives in the most efficient and effective manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate with both Business and IT staff
  • Ability to work with IT to design, debug, test, and produce quality, scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visual Force, custom field / objects, complex workflows, triggers, and data validation
  • Ability to review Salesforce system changes to ensure long term viability and integrity, and make recommendations for enhancements and modifications to improve system performance, efficiency, and reporting
  • Insurance industry experience highly preferred
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and conflicting goals

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Accredited Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
  • Salesforce certification highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and occasional standing and walking. Must have adequate hearing for phone work. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Must be able to use a keyboard and other office equipment. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.

Initially the position will require travel to our Regional Offices located throughout California and in Las Vegas. Travel up to once per quarter to each regional office.
