The Salesforce Administrator will manage the operational aspects of the AAA Life Salesforce system - with a focus on system configuration, standardization, data integration, data quality and system issue resolution. The AAA Life Insurance Salesforce Administrator will also collaborate daily with sanctioned vendors, partners and internal business and technical stakeholders to assist with and expedite system improvements, development, requirements planning and business process reviews.


System Administration

  • Steward the Salesforce user-provisioning process, manage user licenses and permission set assignments.
  • Assist AAA Life IT Helpdesk Ops team with user provisioning questions/issues.
  • Oversee and execute data mapping, imports, exports and updates using data loader or equivalent tool.
  • Support and maintain current and future system integrations with other AAA Life business systems - Cast Iron (or equivalent),, AAA Life+, etc.
  • Monitor the overall system health and proactively engage IT infrastructure in solving any IT specific maintenance issues.
  • Respond to Salesforce user requests and assist with developing solutions to address business needs.
  • Triage, escalate (if necessary), resolve and track system issues.
  • As needed, develop and maintain up-to-date technical, functional and process documentation
  • Co-manage the integration of Salesforce and future cloud applications into existing IT systems. *
  • Collaborate and closely cooperate with external solution providers to implement new solutions, ensuring smooth functionality and interoperability of new cloud applications and other cloud services with existing IT systems. Additionally, assist in resolving any issues that may arise during the integration process.
  • Make recommendations and design solutions that improve user experience, expand platform utilization, and align with the overall company strategy.
  • Able to interpret situations and recognize where change and flexibility is required. Adjust and adapt well to shifting priorities.

Configuration and Development

  • Build and configure custom objects, mapping schemes, related lists, utilizing the Salesforce core capabilities and best-practices.
  • Perform customization of fields, record types, page layouts, validation rules, workflows, process builder, approval processes and reports and dashboards
  • Adhere to IT change/release management process.
  • Perform sandbox refreshes and other data refresh activities.
  • Create and generate dashboards, reports and statistics that support better decision-making.
  • Work with product owners and other development team members to determine new features and user stories needed in new/revised applications or large/complex development projects.
  • Ad-hoc data cleansing as necessary
  • Monitor and research upcoming SALESFORCE releases and determine any potential impact.
  • Contribute to the analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements.
  • Participate in discovery and requirements refinement sessions to uncover customers business, functional, and technological requirements.
  • Help articulate to customer stakeholders the value of recommended solutions and approach.
  • Remain current on Salesforce best practices, technologies, and certifications.

User Support

  • Responsible for addressing incidents and requests for all platforms and other future cloud applications using AAA Life Lifeline
  • Provide technical and functional support to end users of Salesforce and related upstream and downstream integrated systems on a daily basis.
  • Work with end users to provide best practices and tips on Salesforce usage to be included in training and documentation.
  • Assist in training new users.

Business Analysis

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and document requirements.
  • Analyze business processes and workflows, identify areas for improvement, and propose Salesforce solutions.
  • Conduct user interviews, workshops, and requirement gathering sessions.
  • Create user stories, process flows, and other documentation to effectively communicate requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for users, processes, approval processes and workflow.
  • Document system requirements, including validation rules, process builder, automation, record types, encryption, workflow, approval processes, and triggers. Proactively work with all roles on the project team to provide support as needed to ensure overall quality and success of initiatives.
  • Balance the right amount of business and technical analysis necessary for the team to be successful in planning both the project and individual sprints.
  • Escalate and inform the PM and team of potential scope changes/conflicts.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise relative to AAA Life and its products, systems, and programs, and business processes.

Quality Assurance

  • Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate Salesforce functionality.
  • Perform functional and regression testing to ensure system integrity and reliability.
  • Collaborate with development teams on requirement and issue resolution.
  • Document defects and discrepancies found during test execution into defect tracking system and follow through to ensure that all issues are resolved.
  • Work with Business partners on UAT. Appropriate to each project, create UAT plan and collaborate with Business partners.
  • Participate in Deployment Planning sessions and ensure all deployment checklist activities are covered.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • com Certified Administrator or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with administration
  • 3 or more years in an Agile environment
  • Proficiency in creating profiles, allocating roles and managing access in Salesforce.
  • Ability to review and understand Java Script/VB Script, XML, SQL, VBA,HTML
  • Experience working in relational Databases and SQL Server. Ability to write and understand basic SQL queries to perform data verification.
  • Experience in Salesforce Visual force, Workflow, Approval Process, Process Builder, Apex Code
  • Extensive experience in the administration and maintenance of Salesforce systems.
