Lightship is a clinical trials service provider leading in increasing access and choice in taking part in research to improve equity for all. We design and conduct studies in partnership with biopharmaceutical companies to accelerate bringing new therapies to market. This position is remote, and a successful candidate will possess a willingness and desire to work independently without significant oversight.

The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for:

  • Assisting with the implementation, administration, maintenance, testing, and support of Lightship's Salesforce environment (CRM, HealthCloud, Marketing Cloud)
  • Leading cross-functional collaboration and seeking guidance to identify, plan, and build improvements, enhancements, and system customizations to support the business
  • Promoting DevOps to support builds to a higher environment
  • Managing administrative functions including user maintenance, security settings, access settings, modification of page layouts and dynamic pages, generation of reports and dashboards, creation of new fields and other routine tasks
  • Supporting validation and formatting of data for import into Salesforce from platforms such as Qualtrics
  • Integrating Salesforce with other applications, as well as test and maintain those integrations
  • Interfacing with end users to understand feature requirements
  • Logging and tracking system problems from identification through resolution
  • Staying up to date with Salesforce releases and new features to recommend enhancements

The Salesforce Administrator has:

  • Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
    • Proficient in Data loader and Excel
    • Good understanding of Salesforce object, data & security models (profiles, permission sets, OWD, sharing rules etc.)
    • The ability to apply advanced automations to solve complex business problems
    • Solid technical skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
    • Ability to quickly learns new systems and apply knowledge to new/existing systems
    • Familiarity with Journey Builder, Email Studio & Automation Studio components of Marketing Cloud
    • Experience Refreshing and configuring sandboxes using OwnBackup
    • Training users and creating training materials
    • The capacity to grasp and learn sophisticated concepts quickly and independently
  • Education and Experience:
    • 2-3 years' experience in Salesforce administration
    • Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM201)
    • Experience using DevOps tool for Salesforce deployment
    • Knowledge of Salesforce's automation capabilities and best practices, including flow builder and order of operations
    • Understanding of the capabilities and constraints of Salesforce architecture
    • Good understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud components and its integrations with Salesforce Sales cloud
    • Healthcare or Life Sciences vertical experience preferred

The base salary range for this role is between $83,000 and $106,000+, depending on education, skills, and experience. To determine our compensation, we use a market-based approach that is geographically neutral. We believe that this demonstrates our company value of 'believing in people' - valuing the outputs and performance of each team member.
