Overview:

Provide technical support, platform configuration, and maintenance required for end users of the Salesforce platform.

Essential Duties:

  1. Provide administration of the Salesforce CRM platform. Create and maintain user accounts, roles, profiles, and security settings. Resolve platform issues in a timely manner. Track trends in platform usage and provide key performance indicators. Evaluate new features and communicate value to the user community. Monitor the data quality and integrity in the system. Fully support all CRM-based applications that utilize the platform.
  2. Design and develop projects. Establish configuration requirements for applicants. Assist functional users in the development of reports and dashboards. Maintain documentation on processes, policies, application configuration, and help related materials.
  3. Design, develop, and maintain CRM integrations with Banner ERP applications and other related enterprise application projects, including all integrations with CRM-based applications. Participate in conducting and analyzing the results of system testing processes to ensure integration meets application requirements. Develop integration/mapping documentation.
  4. Diagnose and troubleshoot Salesforce technical issues as well as with CRM-based applications that utilize the Salesforce platform to provide solutions in conjunction with internal and external architects, developers, and administrators. Collaborate on all change controls and enhancements.
  5. Provide project leadership for CRM initiatives. Work closely with departments to define project scope. Develop project task lists and time estimates, manage their completion, report on progress, and coordinate the work of outside consultants to ensure deliverables are being met and are of consistent quality.
  6. Participate on teams for software development projects involving major enhancements or upgrades of enterprise-scale systems that interface with Salesforce. Analyze system data, processes, and system interactions to identify and evaluate the impact on Salesforce platform. Convert legacy systems to Salesforce-based technologies. Utilize software to automate the processes, develop queries, functions and procedures needed to support information and application requirements.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the implementation of computer information systems for business applications and experience as a Salesforce administrator with a strong understanding of the platform functionality and best practices.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards in Salesforce.
  • Ability to provide project leadership.
  • Ability to set priorities and organize work to complete project responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience working collaboratively with team members and end users.
  • Ability to read, interpret, explain, and apply technical information on business processes, software, and hardware to technical and non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to establish collaborative working relationships at all contact levels.
  • Ability to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, access impact of new requirements in Salesforce and integrated applications and systems.
  • Experience working with CRM-based applications that utilize the Salesforce environment.
  • Has earned and maintains the Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification is preferred.
