Description

Job Summary

  • The Salesforce Administrator provides support for end-users, executes changes in the application, recommends and applies approved changes to policies and procedures, and contributes to the configuration and customization of the application.
  • Daily responsibilities include user management, permission management (profiles, roles, permission sets), Territory Management, system troubleshooting, creating reports and dashboards, submitting / managing support cases with Salesforce support, and mass data manipulation using data import and upload tools.
  • The Administrator additionally architects, designs, and implements solutions under the guidance of senior team members.

Essential Functions, Duties, and responsibilities

Admin skills:

  • Participate in development of system vision
  • Participate in defining platform security to ensure Regulatory compliance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  • Log and track issues through resolution
  • Develop and deliver training for end-users
  • Manage backup of system data and metadata
  • Implement and maintain 3rd-party apps
  • Create and destroy Sandboxes as directed

System architecture and design:

  • Create and configure standard and custom objects and fields
  • Implement and manage standard and custom functionality such as Platform Encryption, Cases, and Territory Management
  • Employ system automation tools to include Workflow Rules, Process Builder, and Lightning Flow
  • Design and implement solutions with guidance from senior team members
  • Use of change sets / migration tools to move functionality between environments
  • Coordinate with developers in designing and developing solutions
  • Participate in architecting database schema

SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle):

  • Gather and interpret Business Requirements with guidance from senior team members
  • Document business and functional documents in compliance with SDLC requirements
  • Participate in SDLC documents to include Business Requirements and Change Requests
  • Draft SDLC documents to include Deployment Plan and Technical Design Documents
  • Test and document results in accordance with company’s validation requirements
  • Support QA team in testing SFDC seasonal releases and other updates

Basic Admin skills:

  • Create and maintain Users
  • Create training artifacts (documents and videos) for end users
  • Create and maintain permissions to include profiles, roles, and permission sets
  • Create and maintain page layouts
  • Create objects and custom workflows
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards
  • Maintain Territory Model
  • Support efforts to drive system adoption and continued improvements
  • Troubleshoot frontline user and system issues
  • Initialization and destruction of sandbox testing environments
  • Mass data manipulation using Data Import Wizard and Data Loader tools

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum one year Salesforce admin in Enterprise environment supporting 100+ users Salesforce Admin certification
  • Salesforce Senior Admin certification preferred (or working toward)
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience

Technical:

  • Ability to manage complex SFDC enterprise platform with guidance and support
  • Capable of designing solutions with minimal direction
  • Ability to implement suitable solutions under the guidance of senior team members
  • Ability to apply best practices to solution design

General:

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experience in elicitation and interpretation of business requirements
  • Competent in use of standard Microsoft applications to include Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to work in a team setting and independently with minimal supervision or direction
  • Ability to manage and achieve deadlines for projects and tasks
  • Highly motivated self-starter that thrives in a busy environment
