SUMMARY

The Salesforce Administrator will work as part of a consulting team supporting a cardiovascular disease information platform for the CDC. The administrator will work closely with end users and the project team in a highly collaborative environment, to provide system monitoring, metrics and enhancements to ensure a positive user experience. This is a remote work position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions, including: commitment to integrity, knowledge/quality of work, supporting financial goals of the company, initiative/motivation, cooperation/relationships, problem analysis/discretion, accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral/written communication skills, leadership abilities, commitment to Affirmative Action, reliability/dependability, flexibility and ownership/accountability of actions taken.

Works as part of a team dedicated to ensuring maximum efficiency and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of the system based on the various user group needs.

Responsible for full development life-cycle from technical design to development, testing and deployment of system enhancements.

Assists with requirement gathering for system enhancements based on business needs.

Communicates and presents to technical and non-technical audiences.

Develops software with the Salesforce platform including triggers, workflows, validations, approvals, Apex classes, Visualforce pages and Lightning components.

Creates and manages users, profiles, roles and permission sets in Salesforce.

Performs system implementation, configuration and tuning.

Manages Salesforce objects and processes for the organization.

Monitors system usage content and usage metrics, usability, user community collaborations and interactions to determine to inform future enhancements.

Develops reports, dashboards and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity

Develop compelling reports describing system usability, usage and the user experience.

Coordinates regularly with program manager (PM). Provides regular status reports on activities and issues. 

Collaborates with the team of Health Communications Consultants to suggest and implement (where applicable) improvements to processes or tools to benefit the initiative and provide the best value for the CDC.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience with SalesForce including Apex, VisualForce and API development. At least two (2) years of SalesForce Admin experience, and at least one (1) year of development experience working with SalesForce Lightening interface including Lightening components, controllers and apps; or equivalent combination of education/experience.

CERTIFICATES / LICENSES / REGISTRATION

U.S. Citizens only due to government or federal requirement

Experience in web application development.

Development/admin experience with the Salesforce platform.

Demonstrated understanding and experience with Salesforce.com architecture and API. Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).

Ability to work independently, as well as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Exceptional organization skills with ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Ability to provide background information about the project, answer questions and provide updates to CDC, CNI project managers and local health department staff. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
