The Center for New York City Neighborhoods, Inc. (the "Center") is a New York not-for-profit that promotes and protects affordable homeownership in New York State so middle- and working-class families can build strong, thriving communities. We meet and support the diverse needs of homeowners throughout the state by offering free services and affordable loans while advocating for systemic change to address racist housing policies. Today we are working to close the racial wealth gap through the Black Homeownership Project, developing new programs to respond to the climate crisis, and helping New York State to deliver nearly half a billion dollars in COVID-19 relief.

Position Summary

The Deputy Director for Salesforce is responsible for the strategy, vision, and implementation of Salesforce deployments at the Center for NYC Neighborhoods. This position requires a highly professional and self-motivated individual with exceptional critical thinking skills and extensive experience developing, deploying, and maintaining business systems. This role develops technical solutions to real-world business problems and effectively communicates technical challenges and solutions to leadership. This role will also have supervisory responsibilities, overseeing a team of Salesforce professionals and third-party contractors, as needed.

This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This is a hybrid role intended for candidates within commuting distance from our office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develops organization-wide strategy for Salesforce implementations, including devising 3rd-party application solutions for business needs that Salesforce cannot meet.
  • Collaborates with various program and technology teams to gather requirements, meticulously document use cases, and devise scalable processes and solutions for the organization, delegate, and implement through staff and vendors.
  • Work with People & Culture, Finance, the Executive Office, and the Program Analysis Working Group to build a Salesforce training curriculum.
  • Collaborates with the Program Analysis Working Group to improve program development and implementation organization-wide.
  • Provides comprehensive support for business and functional acceptance testing, ensuring that technical specifications align with business requirements.
  • Leads a knowledge transfer process, facilitating the transition of technical knowledge from the development team. Supports and troubleshoots integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems.
  • Continually researches new feature functionality to drive ongoing improvements in Salesforce.
  • Coordinates with Deputy Directors on program design and development.
  • Creates feedback loops that drive organizational improvement on Salesforce deployments and program design.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification is required.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical processes for non-technical users.
  • Collaborates with program, finance, policy, and executive staff to problem-solve issues encompassing technology, policy, budget, and more.
  • Exhibits project management skills and proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Provides guidance, mentorship, and supervision to a team of Salesforce professionals, ensuring their professional development and effective execution of their responsibilities.
