The Opportunity: Salesforce Engineer Associate

ICONIQ Capital is seeking a talented Solutions Engineer with core focus on Salesforce Administration, Business Analysis, Design and Project Management skills to join the Technology Team. This role will work closely with our private equity team to make their vision a reality.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Help improve and define the technology vision at ICONIQ to create high impact results.
  • Partner with Business Owners, Subject Matter Experts and Vendors to design technological solutions and solve business problems using in house applications.
  • Gather, define, and create functional requirements and use cases for cross functional teams.
  • Partner with both technical and business teams to lead projects delivery.
  • Apply industry best practices and detailed knowledge of Salesforce to design solutions that scale to meet the needs of the firm.
  • Challenge current processes and data design to optimize for the best possible solution.
  • Lead the technical implementation of projects leveraging different systems including Salesforce by building custom Objects, Workflow, Email Alerts, Reports, Dashboards etc., while thoughtfully integrating user and data security through Sharing Rules, Profiles, Permissions.
  • Partner with third party vendors in building API's where required.
  • Own the strategic roadmap for private equity technology solutions and work with third party vendors to implement solutions.
  • Apply Waterfall or Agile methodologies in implementation, whilst creating high quality deliverables including functional and technical specifications, use cases, data definitions, test and release plans.
  • Support organizational change management by developing and delivering training.
  • Drive and enforce adoption of new functionality and high-quality data management.
  • Assist in quality management reviews to ensure that all requirements are met.
  • Manage project scope and the change management process.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance of policies, procedures, and security controls as they relate to firm systems.
  • Use best practices in project management in creating estimated timelines and milestones.
  • Ability to deliver complex projects on time and budget both independently and as part of a team.


  • 5+ years of Management Consulting experience, as a Project Manager, Systems/Technical Lead or Product Manager implementing CRM or ERP systems for a variety of clients.
  • 2+ years of Salesforce Administrator experience, implementing and managing Salesforce for a managed services provider, Fortune 1000 company, or consulting firm.
  • Certification as a Salesforce Administrator or Sales Cloud Consultant preferred.
  • Experience with configuring Salesforce including but not limited to Custom Objects, Record Types, Page Layouts, Salesforce Security, Workflow etc.
  • Outstanding project management skills with experience on multiple projects from small to large utilizing Waterfall or Agile methodologies required.
  • Nice to have's, but not required:
    • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud,
    • Familiarity in with Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL,
    • Familiarity in building API's is a plus,
    • Familiarity with Snowflake,
  • Experience in Finance, specifically venture, private equity, or growth space
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience communicating with and managing the expectations of both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to be solutions-oriented, solve problems, and think "outside the box".
  • Strong ability to dissect complex situations, troubleshoot and propose solutions.
  • BS/BA in Technical Field, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent experience preferred.

Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role, together with other compensation being offered such as a discretionary bonus, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $130,000.00 - $145,000.00 together with a discretionary bonus, health insurance, paid time off, 401k participation with a company matching program, wellness stipend, personal education allowance as well as a commuter benefits program.
